The Community Social Services Bargaining Association (CSSBA) has launched a new online learning module Building Respectful Relationships, hosted on the CSSBA eLearning portal.
The online course will cover various communication strategies and conflict-resolution techniques to help members build a positive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
Delivered across five modules, participants will delve into topics like power, privilege and identity to gain insights on how to better support co-workers in a more diverse and inclusive workplace.
The course takes about 80 minutes to complete and can be done in multiple sessions.
To register for the Building Respectful Relationships course:
- Register for an account on the CSSBA eLearning portal
- Choose your union (HEU)

Negotiated during the last round of bargaining with the Community Social Services Employers’ Association (CSSEA), the course is free to union members who work in community social services.
At the end of the course, members will receive a certificate, with the option to share on social media.
The CSSBA eLearning portal is a valuable resource for workers in the community social services sector, including about 1,500 HEU members.
