Voting has now ended for HEU members for the facilities tentative agreement.
Simply Voting is a secure, confidential online election platform accessible by smartphone, tablet or computer. Nobody will ever know how you voted.
You will receive an email when voting opens at 8 a.m. (Pacific Time), on Wednesday, October 5. The email provides a link to the ballot on the Simply Voting website, and your unique Elector ID and password.
If you did not receive your ballot on October 5, first check your spam or junk folder for an email with the subject line: "Voting open for HEU Facilities Collective Agreement Ratification".
If you still can't find it, please do one of the following:
- Fill out the change of contact info form on this website
- Email electionsofficer@heu.org with your full name and HEU local
If you have received a ballot but are having difficulty using the voting website, please phone 1-800-909-4994.
Voting will be open for seven days, and will close at 8 p.m. (Pacific Time), on Wednesday, October 12.
Please note that the only votes that are counted are those cast. If you want your voice heard, make sure you vote.
About Simply Voting
Simply Voting is Canadian-based, and is used by the B.C. Labour Relations Board for certification votes, as well as many other government, labour and professional organizations.
The ballot on the website will look something like the sample below.
You will be asked if you are in favour of accepting the new tentative agreement. Then you will check a box to answer “yes” or “no”. When you choose “continue” you will be given a chance to review your vote, and asked to confirm your choice.
Votes are counted through the Simply Voting platform. HEU receives certified results that are not associated with any member names or identities.

Please note that as per the Constitution and By-Laws, an HEU member who belongs to more than one HEU Local will be eligible to vote in each facilities Local they are a member of. They will receive a separate email for each vote.
