The Hospital Employees' Union will be studying Monday's provincial budget for details on how Premier Dosanjh's government will strengthen and modernize our health care system. In particular, B.C.'s largest health care union will be watching for follow through on throne speech commitments such as improving access to long-term care and home support and action on the nursing team shortage including expanded training opportunities. HEU president Fred Muzin will be available for media comment at Monday's budget lock-up in Victoria and by phone once the budget documents are tabled in the legislature Monday afternoon. B.C. Federation of Labour president Jim Sinclair and other union leaders will also be available in the budget lock-up.
