Proud strong united

Following months of negotiations, including 91 direct meetings, the Community Social Services Bargaining Association (CSSBA) bargaining committee is proud to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached with the Community Social Services Employers’ Association (CSSEA) on Thursday, April 23.

This tentative agreement is the result of the strength and solidarity shown by workers across nine unions. We made progress on member-identified priorities, and we look forward to sharing the details of these wins with you.

In the days ahead, a detailed summary—Comprehensive Report—of the tentative agreement will be prepared, including wage calculators, monetary and non-monetary highlights and a clear explanation of the changes, along with clear instructions on how and when to vote on the ratification of this tentative agreement.

HEU servicing representatives will also be organizing meetings with your locals to share the Comprehensive Report, so please look out for special meeting notices.

HEU community social service members are encouraged to keep their contact information up to date at heu.org/change-contact-information to stay informed throughout bargaining.

The Community Social Services Bargaining Association includes BCGEU (the lead), CUPE, HEU (1,500 members), LiUNA, HSA, CLAC, USW, UFCW, and BCNU, covering 23,000 health care workers across the province.
