Equity Standing Committees
HEU’s six Equity Standing Committees work to provide outreach and advocacy to HEU members, advise on matters related to DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) and work in solidarity with other social justice groups and the union movement. Each committee is made up of seven members who self-identify with the equity-seeking group the committee represents.
Four members for each committee will be elected at the Equity Conference. The remaining three positions and three alternates will be selected through an Expression of Interest. Any interested equity-seeking HEU member is invited to submit their interest in participating as a member of the Equity Standing Committees.
