At HEU's November 2021 convention, three were resolutions passed by the delegates to continue the union's equity work: Resolutions 1, 2, and 78.
Together these resolutions task HEU to identify and address barriers to equity in the union; conduct a constitutional and governance review; engage in leadership development, develop training and tools to enhance inclusion, and create union safer spaces.
The Identifying and Addressing Barriers report provides an update on HEU's work to implement Resolutions 1, 2, and 78. It shares real-life stories of union members from equity-seeking groups. It provides HEU with clear steps that will make it easier for more people to use the union’s services, get help when they need it, and to participate in the union's work.
